if $MAILDIR is incorrectly defined

2001-04-18 21:25:30
For ease of 'cd' navigation, I have two symbolic links for my MAILDIR
and, of course, last night, I inadvertently changed one and not
the other so my mail did not get delivered properly today until
I discovered this. Mostly this isn't a disaster though. But I do
have one question. At least one email came to my /var/mail mailbox
that would otherwise have been filtered. This was apparently because
I use :0c on important mail like this. Is this true? Would all mail
seeing the :0c get one copy delivered to /var/mail/dave and then fail
on the filter to $MAILDIR ?

Thanks for any help.

Dave Robbins
