Hello:
am using procmail v3.15.1 on RH 6.0
The following dump may have helpful info:
Locking strategies: dotlocking, fcntl(), lockf(), flock()
Default rcfile: $HOME/.procmailrc
It may be writable by your primary group
Your system mailbox: /var/spool/mail/tim
The following recipe:
:0:
$DEFAULT_MAILBOX
#where DEFAULT_MAILBOX=/home/tim/.procmail/inbox
# was /home/tim/.procmail/mbox with same error message
################################################
Log shows:
procmail: Lock failure on "/home/tim/MAIL/inbox.lock"
procmail: Error while writing to "/home/tim/MAIL/inbox"
####################################################
A previous recipe that directs procmail to deliver mail to a box
directly under my home directory: /home/tim/in-testing
works as expected.
I suspect that I may have permissions wrong:
the .procmail directory is set at:
40755 with
owner name tim
group name tim
I'm really new to linux, (window$ refugee)
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Tim
