The recipe works fine with sendmail verion 8.9.3-15
and procmail verison 3.13.1-4

The same recipe when run on different versions of
sendmail-8.8.7-20 and procmail-3.10-13
The recipe when put in /etc/procmailrcs/ ......and
when checked the log file.....

The "$@" does not resolve for the To and FROM address
and the mail is lost....

is this a version problem for procmail and sendmail.??

Why are you using such an old version of procmail? This was a bug in
version 3.10, fixed over *six* years ago. To quote the HISTORY file:

1995/05/17: v3.11pre3
            Changes to procmail:
               - Regression bug since v3.06, procmail -m /etc/procmailrcs
didn't allow any arguments to be passed, fixed

Do not use procmail version 3.10 any more. For that matter, don't use
3.11preN, 3.12, 3.13, or 3.14 either. The only versions I consider
reasonable to run are 3.13.1, 3.15, and 3.15.1, and the former two are
close calls.

If you don't use maildir mailboxes, and you can trust all your users,
then I can understand not upgrading from 3.13.1. Otherwise, go all the
way to 3.15.1.
