Hi all,
I've got an interesting issue with my procmail/postfix combo [the error is
indeed a procmail error, hence me posting to this list and not the postfix
one].
First off: procmail v3.15.1 2001/01/08, postfix (Release-20010228) running
under linux, 2.4.3.
procmail is functioning ok, but producing "Attempt to fake stamp by
<username>" in my mail log. The linux box is host.subnet.samedomain.com
but I want mail to look like it is coming from .samedomain.com, however,
the user@ part may not match. Using postfix's sender_canonical_maps I've
mapped out a particular test user like this:
vjl(_at_)host(_dot_)subnet(_dot_)samedomain(_dot_)com
lamonica(_at_)samedomain(_dot_)com
[both addresses are valid, in fact the lamonica@ one forwards to the vjl@
one]
procmail is my MTA, being called as such:
("|/usr/bin/procmail -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME")
Am I to understand that the best solution is to get rid of the '-o' arg?
Doesn't this open me to let folks on my box completely falsify their
From_ headers? Or am I just completely confused?
Any enlightenment would be most appreciated..
/vjl/
