You don't happen to be using Microsoft Exchange as an IMAP server?
There's a setting that has to be made in the Exchange server to force it
to adhere strictly to the IMAP protocol; otherwise it sends estimated
sizes for some messages in some circumstances, which causes many non-
Microsoft IMAP clients (such as pine) to choke.
