Thank very much your replying. the /var/spool/mail mod and procmail's
mod are
drw-r-xr-x 2 root mail 1024 Sep 14 11:10 mail/
-rwsr-sr-x 1 root mail 54924 May 12 1996 /usr/bin/procmail*
I didn't changed it. the procmail version is :
procmail v3.10 1994/10/31 written and created by Stephen R. van den Berg
berg(_at_)pool(_dot_)informatik(_dot_)rwth-aachen(_dot_)de
and there is some strange things: when user download mail bye MS outlook
there's no response from the server.but root can download successfully.but user
telnet server 110,there is response from the server.
But yesterday the system is ok.I don't know why.

What are the permissions on /var/spool/mail and the procmail binary?
