procmail lock

Hi

I recently had problem of our procmail,I often receive these kind of message:

(
<username(_at_)xxx(_dot_)xxx(_dot_)xx>: can't create user output file. Command
output:
procmail: Error while writing to "/var/spool/mail/username"
)

or
(
 procmail: Couldn't create "/var/spool/mail/username" procmail: Lock
 failure on "/var/spool/mail/username.lock" procmail: Error while writing
to "/var/spool/mail/username" )
)

So each time I have to mannually delete lock file and kill procmail process.

Does anyone know what may cause this?

How to solve the problem?
