remove all duplicates from a mailbox?
Yes, there's an excellent such recipe in the procmailex man pages.
To run an existing mailbox through the filter, move the mailbox
to a place that will not be written to by procmail, and then
formail -s procmail < mailbox
You might or might not need a couple of other formail flags.
Look at archives of this list within the last two weeks, where
the current procmail maintainer explained this in detail (yet
again). And look at the FAQs, accessible from www.procmail.org.
