I've been having the same kinds of problems with GCC 3.x under Solaris
as well, and it's definitely not a procmail problem. ;-)
Is your version of GCC configured to use GNU binutils, by any chance?
I've seen this happen where GCC will generate opcodes that Solaris as
won't recognize, but convincing a new GCC build to *not* use the native
assembler/linker seems like convincing someone at the north pole that
they need all the convenience that a modern refrigerator has to offer...
