filtering spam with chinese Subject

Hi,

I tried to filter spam with chinese characters. This worked fine for
the BODY with a recipe from
    http://www3.sympatico.ca/walter.dnes/email/chinese/index.html
Now I tried something similar for the Subject:

* 1^1 [ ¡¥¦¨©ª¬­®¯±´µ¶·¸º¾¿]
* 1^1 [ÀÁÂÃÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕ×ØÙÚÛÝÞ]
* 1^1 [àáâãæçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõ÷ùúûýþÿ]
spam

This should filter mails with more than 10 characters of the specified
patterns in the header to the folder 'spam'.

Unfortunately it doen't work. What is wrong with the above recipe?
