hi...
i've been working with procmail and sendmail for quite a few years with
great success. of course, my procmail rules have always been simple, so i
wouldn't call myself an expert by any means. :)
now, i am using a provider who offers qmail for mail service. i'm having
an issue with the "deliver-to" headers of my messages when mail is
addressed to one of my domains (hosted on the site) and the copy flag is
used in the procmail rule.
Return-Path: <username(_at_)isp(_dot_)net>
Delivered-To: username(_at_)isp(_dot_)net
Received: (qmail 8044 invoked by uid 512); 30 Aug 2002 15:47:05 -0000
Delivered-To: mydomain(_dot_)net-username(_at_)mydomain(_dot_)net
if i write procmail rules according to "TO_," i get multiple copies in
each relevant folder due to the "Delivered-To" headers. if i base the
rules on "Delivered-To" and use the copy flag, procmail matches both
addresses in both of the "Delivered-To" lines. since i don't have a
specific rule to address "username(_at_)isp(_dot_)net," it drops one copy in my
inbox and another copy in the appropriate folder matching
"username(_at_)mydomain(_dot_)net(_dot_)"
for example, with a .procmailrc rule that looks like this:
:0c:
* ^Delivered-To:(_dot_)*username(_at_)(_dot_)*mydomain\(_dot_)net
/path/username
and a message addressed to username(_at_)mydomain(_dot_)net, i would get 2
copies --
1 in the "username" folder and 1 in my inbox.
i'm tearing my hair out here. i've read tons of web sites, the procmail
man pages, qmail docs, etc...and cannot figure this out. do i need to
make procmail ignore the first "Delivered-To" header? is that possible?
is something messed up with the way the headers are added?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
-jd
