Keeping the Original Filename?

Anyone know how to keep the original parsed filename?  I've got a list of
different increments generating filenames like
'1031689257.22813_7.nexus,S=4424:2' and would like to keep them intact
through the filter but I'm head banging right now trying to figure it out.
