procmail weirdness

ooo-k...

I deleted my .forward, and .procmailrc,
copied them over from the renamed files I used as backups
 I swear I've done this more than a dozen times.

except now, it's working.

I give up. it's working, I don't care how or why.

Onto the next challenge.
