I just wanted to point out that the variable is not a software

Good point. This also mean, of course, that you can name it anything you want
NEWLINE="
"
FRED="
"
Whilst I'm here, another very useful one that I, myself, no longer
use, is the whitespace
#Contains space, tab
WS=" "
so in recipes where you would say:
* ^Subject:[ ]+text
you can use
* ^Subject:[$WS]+text
I don't personally use this because I used (.*\<)? instead, but the
$WS assignment is great beacuse you won't lose the tab character via
copying and pasting or emailing or placing on a website, &c.
