I searched the archives to see if it was necessary to escape an (!)
exclamtion point inside of a receipe.
When I searched "escape exclamation", I read David Tamkin's answer here:
http://www.xray.mpe.mpg.de/mailing-lists/procmail/2003-01/msg00466.html
And I know that escaping the less than (or greater than) sign means start
(or end) of a word.
So when I entered this recipe:
# Catch false HTML comments
:0 B:
* <!....>
.SPAM/false_HTML_comments
My logs spewed the following:
procmail: Skipped "!....>"
procmail: No match on "<!....>"
Im curious as to why.
Thanks
Birl
