Re: insert a X-header without resending the mail

2005-07-27 09:09:39

is there a way without resending the email with formail
to add a new header field ?

You can run formail as a filter, like this:

:0fh
* !^X-Check: IS
| formail -A "X-Check: IS"

if i do the eamil got lost the only remainig are some lines in the procmail.log
?

procmail: Match on ! "X-Check-Loop: IS"
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER=formail -A X-Check-Loop: IS"
procmail: Notified comsat: "mhaeker@:/var/mail/formail -A X-Check-Loop: IS"
