Hello,
We have POP server on which we would like change the mbox format in favor of
maildir. It's quite simple to do with procmail with a $HOME/.procmailrc. But we
would like to use a single procmailrc file instead of multiple $HOME/procmailrc
for each users. The point here is to avoid having 5000+ homes only to have
.procmailrc files in them (users don't have shell access to the server).
So we've setup a procmailrc file for this and all the mails are going in the
right folders. But the problem is that the owner of the mail file is root
instead of the UID of the owner of the mailbox. Hence the users cannot fetch
their mails (no problem, this is a test setup :)
I tried to change the options related to procmail in sendmail.mc via
LOCAL_MAILER_ARGS. But so far I'm out of luck. Here's the procmailrc file:
:0
/var/mail/$LOGNAME/
I don't no if it's possible to do this? But if you have any solutions it will
be appreciated.
Best Regards,
