but when I look at config.h I see a define to deactivate it, I don't
find anything like that. I see defines to deactivate fcntl, flock and
lockf....but nothing for dotlock. Is there some way to do this?
Why do I want to do this? The imap server application I've recently put
in production appears to have problems with filesystem quota and
dotlocking. When the user is hard overquota, the imap server can't
write dotlocks.
AFAIK, the only applications accessing the mail folders and inbox are
procmail and the imap server, and its developer suggests restricting
locking to just fcntl for both procmail and the imap server until he can
get around to a better solution. Alas, when I looked at the procmail
source this am I see no way to deactivate dotlock
Help?
