R: Trouble with deleting a message with /dev/null

2007-10-17 03:11:27
Ruud, thank you for your suggestions.

* ^From:(_dot_)*f\(_dot_)abeni(_at_)givi\(_dot_)it
* !^TO_(_dot_)*(_at_)domain\(_dot_)it
* !^TO_(_dot_)*(_at_)domain2\(_dot_)com
* !^TO_(_dot_)*(_at_)domain3\(_dot_)it
/dev/null

Some general remarks on your recipe:

The ^TO_ macro is meant for specific addresses. Since you follow it with
.*, the ^TO() is more appropriate.

I will surely follow your advice, i didn't know the difference. Anyway, the
conditions DO match, i saw it in the log.

Did you test with delivery to a specific folder, in stead of /dev/null?
A /dev/null delivery in a central procmailrc is a blunt tool.

Yes, I did: the message is correctly put in that folder, but is still
delivered as well to its final recipient.

The log shows that the conditions ARE matched and the action taken,
but the message gets delivered anyway.

Is maybe amavis involved?

No, only postfix and procmail.
Anything else to try?

Thank you for your time.
