before I go on and implement it, does someone has/know a procmail recipe

I use the Anomy sanitizer for that purpose: http://mailtools.anomy.net/
I have turned off all of the "disable HTML" functionality, and just use
it to strip binary attachments, save them with a unique prefix in a
specific directory, and replace them with a text/plain part that
contains a URL that maps to that particular directory and file.
According to notes in my config file, I've been using it since November
2006, so apparently it's pretty reliable. <grin>
