Yes. I did this for a client, and it was a lot of work.

Not that I recommend doing this. The HTML email battle was lost long ago.
I just set my client to display plain-text and I unsub from lists and
merchants who insist on sending me html only (like I just unsubbed from
mwave after many years since their plain text alternative is not useless).
