Thank you for writing to eBay Customer Support.
Why is ebay customer support subscribed to the list and who is going
to report ebay to spamcop ?
First off, I'm not sure why this post got through. listbox has
recently undergone some upgrades to new software, so maybe there is a
bug. I have reset ebay support back to being "post only" (never send
list traffic to them) and "banned from posting" (never accept email
from them).
As to why they get subscribed, I think it goes like this:
worms/phishers send email to the spf-discuss subscribe address with a
forged ebay header. listbox sends a subscription confirmation back to
ebay support and then ebay support auto-replies with an email quoting
the confirmation cookies.
Actually, I'm not exactly sure what is going on, but ebay support is a
real problem for listbox mailing lists.
