The IESG has received a request from an individual submitter to consider
the following document:
- 'Simple Mail Transfer Protocol '
<draft-klensin-rfc2821bis-08.txt> as a Draft Standard
Because of the comments received in the Last Call on the -06 version, we
request a *limited* Last Call on the -08 version.
A diff between -08 and the IETF Last Call version -06 can be

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. But please limit your comments to areas
that have been discussed since the last call was issued for -06. Almost
all of the issues that were raised have been dealt with in some fashion
within -07 and -08. New topics should be avoided.

ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org mailing lists by 2008-03-14. Exceptionally,
comments may be sent to iesg(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org instead. In either case,
please
retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.
