RE: Parametrized xsl:sort

To be specific, I want the result of:
        <xsl:sort select="$sortkey" order="descending"/>
with parameter sortkey:
        <xsl:with-param name="sortkey" select="@name"/>
to be equivalent to:
        <xsl:sort select="@name" order="descending"/>
