Raphael,
A technique I should've mentioned but forgot is that, in a pinch, you can
break your process into two passes: a first pass to create a stylesheet
which is then executed in the second. Since any XPath needed in the second
can be generated dynamically, it's straightforward to parameterize it to
your heart's content.
