RE: 50 XSLT Tips and a Quiz

I got three wrong too. And I completely agree with both Jeni's criticisms of interpretation.

The answer to question 6 is wrong.

It is an error to have two template rules that match the same node. The
processor can either signal the error (i.e., fail), or recover by
choosing the last one that matches, at implementor discretion. Saxon
passes the choice on to the user; by default it outputs a warning
message and then takes the recovery action.

I think it said sth like "fatal error" but I agree, the question has it wrong.

(I'd have gotten two more wrong if I hadn't read the testers' minds on this question and one other).

Nice quiz, but it's sneaky to put in subtle syntax errors that test your
powers of observation rather than your XSLT knowledge. I got 3 wrong.

Yes, sneaky: no fair.

In general, the test orients itself to how much one knows about XSLT (and how well one reads XPath), rather than how well one codes it. That's inevitable I guess.
