RE: submit button and passing values

2002-11-21 03:41:18
Hi,

I need help with the following:

I have submit button which should go to the URL, which the
corresponds to
the :
<xsl:value-of select="UrlTag"/>

Some code:

<form><xsl:attribute name="action"><xsl:value-of
select="UrlTag"/></xsl:attribute>
      <input type="hidden" name="name"><xsl:attribute
name="value"><xsl:value-of
select="nameTag"/></xsl:attribute></input>
      <input type="submit" value="Go To Link"></input>
</form>

Also I am passing a hidden value to the URL, when the button
is pressed,
which the person should not able see in the URL such as the
POST method.

This is basically an XHTML problem: the submit input should have a name
attribute.

Other than that, you can rewrite you stylesheet fragment to

<form action="{UrlTag}" method="post">
  <input type="hidden" name="name" value="{nameTag}" />
  <input type="submit" name="submitname" value="Go To Link" />
</form>

for readability.
