special characters in xml text paramter


Hello,

I'm trying to output the copyright character. I tried every combination inthe xml :


&amp;copy;
&copy;
&#169;
&amp;#169;
...you get the idea.

I've also tried using DOCTYPE and declaring it there. but still sameproblem.

For some reason I keep getting this extra character to the left of thecopyright symbol. Is there a way to just display the copyright symbol?
