saxon:preview doesn't work in 7.3 anymore

Hey saxonienists,

given the code at the end of the e-mail. I just copied the idea from an example 
from Michael Kay:

from play.xsl:
.....
<!-- this stylesheet uses "preview" mode to process each scene as it is 
encountered, avoiding -->
<!-- loading the entire document into memory -->
<saxon:preview mode="preview" elements="SCENE PROLOGUE EPILOGUE"/>
....

the xsl (at the end of the e-mail) works under 7.2. But nothing happens under 
7.3. 
Has anyone an idea whats on there? 
Or is it a bug in 7.3?
