Re: disable-output-escaping="yes" and crimson JDK1.4.1 parser does not work (or is disabled)

disable-output-esacping only works on text nodes in the result tree.
It's just a flag that says "if you serialize this text node, don't
do any escaping of the markup characters". It doesn't change the
text in the node at all (the text isn't escaped until it's serialized).

Although you're creating an attribute node from a text node that has
d-o-e, the attribute won't inherit the flag.

Some XSLT processors provide an extension attribute to provide a d-o-e
flag for attribute nodes. If you don't have that option, you'll have to
output what you can, and post-process the result.

short correction,

setting disable-output-escaping="yes" or setting
disable-output-escaping="no" does not seem to have ANY effect
on the output..

cheers

Subject: [xsl] disable-output-escaping="yes" and crimson JDK1.4.1 parser
does not work (or is disabled)

my desired output is to produce unescaped html output in form of
<html>test<

instead <xsl:text
disable-output-escaping="yes">&lt;html&gt;test&lt;/html&gt;</xsl:text>
(after appropriate SAX transform give following output:
<header text="<html>test</html>">

is disable-output-escaping disabled in the crimson JDK1.4.1, and if so, how
do I turn it on

thanks

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>
<xsl:output method="html"/>
      <xsl:template match="test">
