Not in general, agreed. 

But then the algorithm could fail in that case and return the inversion in case 
it exists.
And since the algorithm does not get the xml and html files as input but the 
transforming xsl, the cases are not so restricted I think. 
As long as the html reflects more or less the structure of the xml, the 
inversion is possible.
