something like the following... I have used the javascript:alert() function
instead of your form populating function for testing.
sample xslt
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method = "html" encoding="utf-8" />
<xsl:template match="/">
<html>
<title></title>
<body>
<table>
<xsl:apply-templates select="data/cell"/>
</table>
</body>
</html>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="cell">
<tr>
<td onClick="javascript:alert('{.}')"><xsl:value-of select="."/></td>
</tr>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
test data xml
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<data>
<cell>1</cell>
<cell>2</cell>
<cell>3</cell>
<cell>4</cell>
<cell>5</cell>
<cell>6</cell>
</data>

The method I would use would be to use javascript to populate the HTML form
items.
For examople put this activator on your cell:
<td onClick="cellStore('populatCellValueHere')">CellValue</td>
Then use this javascript to store the value in the form for later usage:
function cellStore(value)
{
document.formName.formItem.value=value;
}
Does this help at all?

Subject: [xsl] Tables interactive
I can create a table via xsl but is there any way of say clicking on a cell
and having the contents copied into a field, the idea is to have say a
shopping cart and for the user to select a cell via a mouse click and have
the contents copied into a html field.
Thanks for any help John Proctor
