Re: apache Hyphenate property issue - weird !

2003-08-14 15:05:41
Are you talking about fop-user(_at_)xml(_dot_)apache(_dot_)org user
list ? Or is there one in mulberrytech for FOP ?

You are right. The apache fop version I am using is
0.20.4. I will try with 0.20.5

Once again, thanks for your help.

bug with apache hyphenate property. Please let me

if it is a bug or I am doing something wrong.

You should have posted this to the FOP user list,
because it
is FOP specific.

In the ouput pdf, I see blank column. NO data in
it.

You should have stated the FOP version you use. It
seems
you are using 0.20.4 which had this kind of problem.
It
is caused by failing to hyphenate the
0000000000000000
string because it is not a meaningful word.

But here's the interesting thing. When I remove
the
hyphenate="true" and language="en", I see the data
in
the column. Only problem here is, the data will
over
shoot the column.

Well, if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. This is a
FAQ
  http://xml.apache.org/fop/faq.html#cells-overflow

Basically I had to restart my app server.
Usually it is better to develop and test with the
command line
application.
