Re: Antw: access preceding record

Thx Agnes, it works - shall try to understand what's going on here.

One effect of your much appretiated code is: you'll have one record too
much. But - at least in my case - this is not a problem.

Rolf

Hi Rolf,
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>
<xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="*">
    <xsl:copy>
       <xsl:apply-templates/>
    </xsl:copy>
 </xsl:template>

 <xsl:template match="start">
    <xsl:copy>
      <xsl:value-of select="."/>
    </xsl:copy>
    <stop>
      <xsl:value-of select="../preceding-sibling::record[1]/start"/>
    </stop>
 </xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

Cheers,
Agnes
