AW: UNIX-ANSI encoding with NT4 and IE6

2003-12-17 03:42:10
the quoted file is saved as UNIX ANSI.

The question is which encoding is it saved in? (neither unix nor ansi is
an encoding) and in particular which encoding does it specify in the xml
declaration? If it is ASCII (sometimes written US-ASCII) then you can
simply delete the xml declaration and the default encoding of utf8
(which is a superset of the ascii encoding) will be used.

there is NO encoding attribute in the xml-pi ...

thx so far!
