The Stylus Studio Team is proud to announce Stylus Studio 5.1
What's New for 5.1?
Query and update relational data using the emerging SQL/XML standard. Define a
data source for a relational database and use simple
drag-and-drop operations to quickly compose complex and error-free SQL/XML
statements. Once retrieved from the database, the
relational data is rendered as XML, which can be used anywhere in Stylus Studio
- to build an XQuery using XQuery Mapper or to
compose an XSLT stylesheet, for example.
Stylus Studio 5.1 supports both XPath 1.0 and XPath 2.0. The query field in the
XML editor, which lets you enter XPath expressions
to evaluate the current document, defaults to XPath 1.0, but you can change the
editor to use XPath 2.0 to process your XPath
expressions by clicking a button.
Stylus Studio's XQuery processor has been significantly upgraded to support all
new functions and grammar changes established by the
November 2003 W3C XQuery Specification.
Stylus Studio 5.1 delivers major improvements to the XSLT Mapper, including new
GUI tools to speed creation of named and matched
templates, and to speed creation of XSLT instructions (such as xsl:value-of and
xsl:for-each), XSLT functions (such as string,
concat, and sum), and XSLT conditional expressions and literal text blocks.
