.xsl is, generally, the default extension used for XSL-FO or XSL
Formatting Objects.
.xslt is the default extension used for XSLT or XSL Transformations
The two can be used interchangeably(that is to say if you declare the fo
namespace within your .xslt doc, as long as your processor knows what to
do with the fo extension then you shouldn't see any problems) as long as
your name space declarations are correct.
