How do I do this? I can't see any way of using the self::x syntax with $e
as I did before...
You should be able to use self:: exactly as before, your for-each loop
looks OK to me as xslt1 or 2.
If you want to use for you could do
for $e in * return
if ($e/self::x:*) then
'in'
else
'out'
