The microsoft JVM has been discontinued for a while now
applications which require the MSFT JVM to run no longer work
on machines
having SUN JVM. You might want to get the saxon-b8.2
distribution which is
available for all platforms.
You don't have to move forward to Saxon 8.2, if you only want an XSLT 1.0
processor then Saxon 6.5.3 works just fine. Instant Saxon 6.5.3 was simply a
packaging of Saxon 6.5.3 designed for ease of installation on systems where
the Microsoft JVM is pre-installed.
