(Apart from the fact that 1 is not a prime number).
I believe 1 _is_ a prime:
from http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/prime+number :
"an integer that has no integral factors but itself and 1"
It just happens that 'itself' is also 1 in the sentence above...
