 I was trying to do an
algorithm with an XML fragment (since I am using SAX withing Cocoon)
so /*/* won't work in my case

AFAIK XSLT and XPath generally require the whole source tree to be in
memory in order for the transformation to be performed. And you were
asking help for an XSLT problem in an XSLT - dedicated mailing list.

If I'm wrong, please, tell me how.
