I want to iterate over all the "Trade" elements and replace the ExtTradeId
attribute with the value contained in the TradeId field.
It's an element not an attribute.

something like

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>

<xsl:template match="trades">
<Trades>
<xsl:for-each select="Trade">
<Trade>
 <TradeID><xsl:value-of select="position()"/></tradeID>
 <ExtTradeID><xsl:value-of select="TradeID"/></ExtTradeID>
</Trade>
</xsl:for-each>
</Trades>
</xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>
