Re: using javascript in xslt

  frankly yes i was expecting the script to be executed. i have used the
   script before in xslt writing it in head and using the  
   <![CDATA[             ]]> 

It would be most odd (and a bug in the processor)  if the xslt processor
executed such a script element. The fact that you say the script was in
the head suggests that in fact that was not happening but rather that
the XSLT just wrote out the script element (as it writes out html
elements) and the output was passed to an html browser which then
executed the script.
