Ah, that was one of the other things I forgot to ask
about...
I am using whatever comes with the Sun Java 1.4 SDK. I
will try thw 1.0 examples.

implementation. Most XSLT engines implement the
current XSLT standard
which is 1.0. So I'd guess you are using an XSLT 1
processor.
