RE: namespace value output at weird location

2005-03-31 17:10:10
That did it, thanks.

I guess what I don't understand, then, is why that
namespace value didn't show up in the following lines(<li><br><ul>):

--------------
TUTOR: Select Colors for House Painting<br
xmlns:jtt="http://mil.jcsj2t.jtt30";><ol xmlns:jtt="http://mil.jcsj2t.jtt30";>
   <li>Select one of the following:<br><ul>
----------

So is "exclude-result-prefixes=" boilerplate then when
namespaces other than xsl are included in a stylesheet?

When you use a literal result eleemnt such as <br/> in your stylesheet
it gets copied to the result along with all its namespace nodes (except
those namespaces that are not copied) Initially th eonly namespace that
isn't copied is the xsl one, but you also have jtt in scope which you
don't want copied so add
add exclude-result-prefixes="jtt" to xsl:stylesheet.
