Hi,
XSLT does not delete nodes. You either select or do not select a
particular node to be copied to the output based on a match condition. In
your case, the match condition could be
<xsl:template match="XXX">
<xsl:if test="not( string-length(.) = 0)">
<xsl:value-of select="."/>
</xsl:if>
</xsl:template>
