How can I read the values of the attributes of the XML Declaration in the
input document using XSLT and XPath?
something like this will return the value;
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
version="1.0">
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:variable name="xmlpi"
select="/processing-instruction('xml-stylesheet')" />
<xsl:value-of
select="substring-before(substring-after($xmlpi, 'href="'),
'"')" />
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
and of course if u want to access the XML declaration, you cant.
cheers, Jim Fuller
