Thanks a lot to everybody! The problem was that I was trying something like
        count(m:Values/Value)
instead of
        count(m:Values/m:Value)

You have to use the prefix on _every_ element name at all steps in the
xpath, for elements in a namespace.

count(m:Values/m:Value)

etc
