The thing he is trying to is completely illegal/impossible in XSLT.
Suspiciousness towards ill-formed XML is a must for someone learning
xslt; you're on the good path...
His stylesheet could never have worked. You were giving a broken xslt and
they probably rely on you to make it work;)
