sum(value) sums all the nodes that are selected by value
so if the current node is childnode11a this is just one element.

Presumably you want to sum when the current node is childnode1a
and select all grandchild elements childnode11a/values (or perhaps
*/value, if there can be differently named children).

sum(*/value)
